Dr. AnnMarie Surdich-Pitra and Dr. Valarie Roaché are dedicated to serving your complete eye care needs. Every one of our staff is trained in the latest techniques to serve you. Dr. AnnMarie Surdich-Pitra and Dr. Valarie Roaché work with closely with you and our staff to diagnose any issues and prepare preventative eye care programs tailored to your specific needs.
Dr. AnnMarie Surdich-Pitra
Dr. Ann is originally from the Southwest Side of Chicago, but grew up in Downers Grove. While attending Montini High School, she worked for a local optometrist and developed a deep passion for eye care and helping people see.
She attended Illinois Benedictine College in Lisle until 1991, when she matriculated into the well respected Illinois College of Optometry. After graduating from The Illinois College of Optometry she entered into private practice.
Dr. Surdich-Pitra's expertise includes contact lenses and Dry Eye Syndrome. She is able to treat all conditions from routine needs to extreme needs - such as a disease related cornea. She also specializes in non-surgical alternatives to refractive surgery and Bifocal/ Multifocal contact lenses.
Dr.Surdich-Pitra is a proud member of the American Optometric Association and the Illinois Optometric Association since 1991. In 2004 and 2006 Dr. Surdich-Pitra was awarded the Top Optometrist Award by the Consumers' Research Council of America.
Aside from her professional practice, Dr. Surdich-Pitra is also a proud sponsor of Hunters Hope Organization. This organization is very near and dear to her heart and is striving to find a cure for Krabbes Leukodystrophy, a childhood disease that is devastating and often fatal. Dr. Valarie Roaché
Dr. Valarie Roaché grew up in Downers Grove, Illinois and attended Benet Academy High School. At Benedictine University, she completed the Scholars Program with Distinction and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2009.
While attending college, she worked as a Vision Therapist at a local optometrist office. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree Magna Cum Laude from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2013, and was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honorary Society and Tomb & Key Honorary Society.
Dr. Roaché is Board Certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry, and is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Illinois Optometric Association. She treats routine to complex eye conditions, and is passionate about educating her patients on eye health and disease prevention. Her interests include reading and traveling.
